A speciality Developmental Optometric Practice providing Optometry services and Vision Therapy for Learning related Visual skills deficits, assessments for children with learning difficulties (Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD, Autism),lazy eyes, special needs, brain injuries, concussion and squints.
At Vision and Perception Practice, we offer a variety of professional services catered to individuals with different visual needs. A standard eyesight test can take 20min while a full developmental visual efficiency assessment can take up to 2 hour. Therapy and learning programs are then customized to assist an individual to improve their visual skills, such as binocular vision, eye tracking, eye teaming and eye focusing, leading to gains in attention, copying, writing and reading. Dysfunctional vision are extensive and symptoms vary across different conditions, such as post concussion syndromes, brain injuries, causing a poor ability to gauge the visual space, to a learner with developmental delays having skipping words/lines errors during reading.
